Cappella del Rosario

This chapel is only remnant of the primitive church of Concorezzo, dedicated to St. Damiano, which stood here around the year 1000, then became a parish church in the 16th century. Of that ancient church, this chapel was an altar, abandoned for centuries until 1942 when the brothers Francesco and Angelo Villa had it restored, in memory of their father Achille. Above the altar is the image of Our Lady of the Rosary, surrounded by 15 medallions depicting the mysteries of the Rosary. Since then, this chapel, once called "chapel of the Magi", has taken the name of " Chapel of the Rosary ". In 1996 it was the object of a new restoration, the entry yard was bordered by a low gate.
